Installation View at Mason Fine Art Gallery Atlanta
See Me as I Am is a body of work Shine Huang developed in the past three years. This photography series is focusing on Ethiopian and Eritrean (Habesha) community in Atlanta.
Shine visited more than 20 Habesha families to take the portrait and daily objects they use at their locations. All the photographs are taken in a classic analog style: black and white film.
See Me as I Am is a small window showing a local community who come from a different culture background. It is also a mirror reflecting photographer’s understanding of being an immigrant living in the states. 2014 - 2017
